1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how FlowSequences accesses, uses, stores and shares information required to provide its automation features. It applies to the Android application and should be read together with any in-app disclosures and Google Play Data Safety information.
2. Information accessed by the app
Depending on the features and Sequences enabled by the user, FlowSequences may access or process:
- Battery level and charging state.
- Wi-Fi and network connectivity state.
- Bluetooth and supported nearby-device connection state.
- Device state needed for configured automation.
- App/window events required for selected app-launch automation.
- Location information when the user creates or enables a location-based Sequence.
- Notification information generated by FlowSequences for execution feedback.
The app does not need all of these categories for every user. Access depends on the features the user selects and the Android permissions granted.
3. How information is used
Information is used to evaluate user-created conditions and execute the corresponding actions. For example, a user may configure a Sequence to perform an action when a selected Wi-Fi network is connected, a battery threshold is reached, a location condition is satisfied or a supported app is opened.
4. Accessibility Service
FlowSequences may use Android AccessibilityService for selected app-launch detection and deterministic automation actions configured by the user. Accessibility access is optional and is controlled by the user through Android Settings.
The service is used to implement the automation functionality selected by the user. FlowSequences does not intentionally record, store or transmit screen content for advertising or profiling.
5. Location
Location is used only when a user chooses location-based automation or uses the location capture function in the Sequence editor. Location information is processed on the device for the current local-first implementation and is not intentionally transmitted to a FlowSequences server.
6. Storage and retention
Sequences, settings and diagnostics are stored locally on the device in the current release. The app does not provide a FlowSequences cloud account or cloud synchronization.
Users can remove local app data using Android system controls or uninstall the application. If a future release introduces cloud storage, this policy will be updated before that functionality is offered.
7. Sharing and third parties
FlowSequences does not automatically share Sequence configuration or automation data with third parties. Users may explicitly invoke Android's standard share sheet to share a Sequence or app information. Once the user chooses another application through the Android share sheet, that recipient's privacy practices apply.
The current release does not include advertising SDKs or a FlowSequences analytics service.
8. Permissions
The app requests permissions only when a selected feature requires them. These can include notifications, location, nearby devices, Wi-Fi/network state, Do Not Disturb access, modify-system-settings access and Accessibility access. Android permission controls remain available to the user.
9. Security
FlowSequences follows a local-first design for the current release. Sensitive Android capabilities are protected by Android's permission and system-setting mechanisms. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but the app does not intentionally transmit its local automation database to a FlowSequences server in this release.
10. Children's privacy
FlowSequences is a general-purpose automation utility and is not specifically directed to children. Parents or guardians should supervise use of device automation and Android permissions where appropriate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features, data practices or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a new version is published.
